Our Patrons
December 07 -
Holly Davidson
Walkoncemore is honoured to introduce Holly Davidson as a Patron. Holly is a young, vibrant and accomplished British actress who has starred in a variety of roles from characters on British T.V to American teen comedy. Her varied C.V includes parts in 'The Bill', 'Casualty', 'Renford rejects', 'Essex Boys' and 'Van Wilder 2', to name a few. She brings class and charisma to any role she undertakes. Holly is also the sister of actress and designer Sadie Frost and actress Jade Davidson.
A note from Holly...
''I was very keen to get involved with Walkoncemore, not only because it is a very deserving cause, but also due to it being a cause I was somewhat connected with. A former boyfriend of mine suffered a spinal cord injury and I have seen first-hand how life altering the condition is. A cure needs to be found, and with adequate funding and awareness this can happen. As a Patron, I feel proud of my small part in that.''
November 07 -
Hollywood actor Dave Prowse MBE
Walkoncemore is honoured to announce that Dave has become our latest patron. Dave has enjoyed a glittering career as a weightlifter, bodybuilder and actor. He is exceptionally well known for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy. His impressive C.V includes roles in iconic films such as 'StarWars', 'Empire Strikes Back', 'Return of the Jedi' and ‘A Clockwork Orange’.
He also starred as the Green Cross code man for 14 years, a superhero designed to promote road safety to children. Dave received an MBE in 2000 as a result of his role in this ground breaking campaign. Amongst many other great accomplishments, Dave helped to train Christopher Reeve for his role in ‘Superman’ and Cary Elwes for his character in ‘The Princess Bride’. In his 30 years of experience in running gyms, Dave's clients have included HRH Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Albert Finney, Vanessa Redgrave, John Barrowman, Stephanie Powers, Edward Heath and many more.
We wish to extend our utmost gratitude Dave for his ongoing support.
A note from Dave...
“Due to being a close friend of Christopher Reeves, the mission of Walkoncemore is one very close to my heart. I’ve spent many years in the film industry watching heroes fly and save lives. But the only real heroes I’ve ever met are the victims, family, employees and volunteers affected by spinal cord injury. I hope that everyone finds that hero in themselves to support a much needed cause by spreading the word, purchasing an allumonde ring, donating a little or even getting involved in a fundraising project on behalf of Walkoncemore”
Thanks!
Walkoncemore wishes to thank everyone who has supported our cause thus far.
We would especially like to mention the following people for their ongoing support...
